Veneer is a thin layer of wood that can be applied to an acoustic panel . A veneer layer is on average between 0.5 and 2 millimeters thick and is made from real tree trunks. It gives you the authentic, unique and warm wood look that natural solid wood also has. There are many different types of wood, so many different types of wood veneer are possible. You can opt for a perforated or grooved finish.
With a veneer finish, perforations can be made. This is done to optimize acoustic performance, to enhance decorative values and to optimize the durability of the surface. (makes it washable and impact resistant). A wide selection of patterns is available.
PETAC ® panels can contain micro-perforations (Ø 1.1 mm) or nano-perforations (Ø 0.5 or 0.6 mm). These make for high acoustic performance and are very decorative. The perforations are minimal and difficult to see with the naked eye, but have audible consequences. With a veneer finish, you can also opt for a grooved look.
